Old soul, ancient one; Warrior of ages long forgotten.
A hundred faces you have worn and the battles you fought are without number.
Each one is now only a speck of sand in times vast desert.

Distant lands and civilizations have passed beneath your feet.
Like clouds passing over the distant horizon and fading into memory; misty and half remembered.
The things you have known and seen are now only glimmers in the place of dreams.

Hero, warrior, villain, soldier. Both sides of the coin have been yours.
Causes won and lost; glory balanced with defeat and tempered like the sword you once held.
A sword I can still feel in my hand during our times of communion.

We have been together before you and I, drawn together through time and held by a bond.
I acknowledge your power and wisdom as I discover the person I once was.
I honor your spirit and your strength as it molds and shapes me, into the person I am now.

Old Soul..........
Ancient One............
Warrior within....................

author of Heartwings Love Notes

This day now past
Has passed into memory,
Gone by, moment by moment,
Each a tick or a tock,
A parade of ants
Moving time grain by grain.
This day will not come again.
Another takes its place
And another, until at last
The last day is done
And time becomes for me
Eternity.
Yet now is not then.
I do not know the when of it
Nor am I in a rush
To reach the end. Let it bend

In upon itself
Spiraling me in and out of it Until I am one with All And that All is Now

We flit and we float on Ramman's strong wings
the whisp of his coat
the bend of his strings
Some days he kisses and holds us as babes
only to knock us with fists of his rage
He fills us with pride from a gust, riding by
Only to fling us kicking dirt in our eye
He is gentle as wool in his love i dare say
making and breaking how we render each day.

I open my mind
To all that can be,
All it takes is a thought-
And now I am free.

I open my eyes,
No longer blind;
I see what was hidden,
It's all been defined.

I open my heart,
To create and expand-
I allow life to happen;
And hold fate in my hand.

I open my soul,
To the amazing potential
Of this endless journey-
So wild and wonderful.

Will you open your mind
To the possibilities?
Just change your thoughts
So you can be free.

Will you open your eyes
And begin to explore?
Everything's clear now,
You're free to soar.

Will you open your heart-
Leave behind pain and despair?
Discover your truth.
Do you even care?

Will you open your soul
And finally find-
That you have it all
And it's all in your mind?

Faery Land

Rows of bended heather bow
The lavender is patient now
A whisper, barely there does come
On winds of magick beats the drum

Silence is the only sound
Behind the hushes all around
Turtle still and frozen stiff
Coyote still on highland cliff

Foxglove leans to hear the steps
Seaweeds dance beneath the depths
Trees stand tall and earth rests low
Beneath the Fae Queen's magick glow

She walks beyond them flawlessly
They gaze away in awe to see
Her aura floats beyond our sight
Her wings extended pierce the night

The crown of gold atop her mane
Cries out for magick's rule again
Jewels woven in her hair
Shine clear as if they aren't there

Her skin, translucent pallid white
Her tresses dance as if in flight
Robes of cobweb gossamer
Do not do well to cover her

What tiny birds descend to pace
Her Majesty's stroll with earthly grace
To part the hidden magick veil
For cats and bats and every snail

For lo, not nature can do this
Whilst fae hide in the veil's abyss
Tis once a year the Queen doth break
The veil wide open for the take

Of every good and force of joy
To use real magick to employ
Great healing, love and harmony
To all the living earth who be

So be you out on Summer's Eve
To see this earthly strolls reprieve
As Queen Fae kisses bloom and blossom
Welling hearts with magick awesome

Look not at her in the eyes
For you shall find a pure disguise
Instead, commit to acts of good
As Faery Queen herself sure would

Kiss the earth yourself, you see
For this is as Œtis meant to be
Embrace the alder, fondle oaks
The earth is partner with us folks

What magick comes from deeds like this
From one kind human's gentle kiss
Shall not be matched or soon outdone
By Faery Queen or anyone

What magick have you lost, my dear?
What gifts have you forgotten here?
The Faery Queen shall now restore
What you give earth and then, and more

The Earth

She lays gray and silent
Waiting for the time
To be right

She remains quiet and patient
Eager for the spring showers
And the warming sun

The moon waxes and wanes
Still she lingers - dull and brown
Ugly some would say

But they are wrong
The fields covered with
Old corn stalks or brown grass

She is just watchful
Calculating the exact moment
To show her true colors

Along comes a farmer or gardener
Revealing her secret glory
Hidden just below the surface

The plow rends her exterior
Exposing the beautiful dark fertility
Rejuvenated from the long winter

Her glory exposed like guilty lovers
She nurtures and nourishes with
The remains of the dead season

She flourishes giving those gone
New life with each new sprout
Reminding us of her delight

With all the colors
Of her rainbow in
Tulips, daffodils, crocus and more

She prompts us to join

In a joyous chorus
With all the songbirds

As they twitter and tweet
While gathering for their homes
She teaches satisfaction in simple daily tasks

Humanity claims it has conquered
Her seasons but each cycle passes
With the turning of the wheel

She continues her constant lessons
In life... death... and rebirth
After all she
is Mother Earth!

  Through The Rabbit Hole
by Suzanne Jaillet-Isham

Surreal hush of midnight cascades
as a veil upon candlelit home
while a soft whisper of comfort
drifts across the room in a wave
the tide taking away all that has been
then returning in cycle back to me again

shadow dancers down the hall now
waltzing around corners of circumstance
twisting time into blurred images
opening the door within me labeled "missing"

outside, the orange Moon offers
an understanding embrace of light
soft and soothing upon comforting memories

as my angels surround me in half sleep
and I smile
as I fall
through the rabbit hole
of Night.

We Are
by Jennifer McDaniel

We are flesh, and warm blood
bold fire and flowing spirit
We walk with shadow
to overcome our fear of it

We are the little ripple, upon a foggy lake
and the smooth stone, it took to create

We are what we perceive
Every limmerick, cloud, or disease

We feel a stranger's hidden pain
and taste the bitterness of spite
We walk among the dancing stars
and bathe in lunar light

Our souls need not be saved
nor do we wish to set another right
This lifetime is too brief ~ to fight

We are those who chant melodies without care
moving softly on sacred ground
both perpetually lost, and completely found

We are the ones laughing, in a spring thunderstorm
Shaping idle thought, into tangible form

At Sabbat toast and New Moon rite
with love divine and strong insight
By every animal, herb, and tree
We are Witches ~ So Mote It Be

  The Seeker
by Coleen Scherer

I am the seeker in her many forms
I seek the light and all that it transforms
I seek knowledge of the Divine
I seek the wisdom of this heart of mine.
I seek to understand the craft passed down through the ages
May it awaken me, open me to new blank pages
For I am the book that the universe writes on
I go where she leads me, but I am no pawn
We work as two—paper and pen
She writes, I record until we reach the Summerland.
Until then I continue to seek
All that nature intends for me to meet.

To seek is to heal
To heal is to grow
To grow is to remember
To remember is the beginning …

May the words return that were once written
With my heart and soul—I bid them open
So that I may receive what I’m meant to now
May the universe see fit to make it so.

Let all the Ancients now hear my prayer
Let my breath carry these words through the air
So that my desire reaches their ears
Let me not be held back by my fears.

With thanks to the Divine and harm to none
As I will, so shall it be done!
